In the strength of change I hide from and hunt for myself. At times coming into view only to be obscured by the proximity of my own likeness, I desire and fear attention. Life is change and with this series I exhibit one more facet of shifting identity, albeit guarded. Conflicted with the need to express inner turmoil while masking identity, my likeness plays out through the landscape, purposely out of focus, hidden or obscured.
Beautify pocked marked, my body is afflicted by the material it is displayed on. The imperfection and texture of handmade paper adds to the dissenting voice housed within. I am beautiful in my fragmented and shifting persona, hidden in land and material.
